Leo Burnett wins IAB Creative Showcase for online tool to help youth

SYDNEY, 10 August, 2016:Leo Burnett Melbourne has taken the honors in Round 11.1 of IAB Australia’s Creative Showcase for its “Reword” campaign which uses an online tool to help young people recognise online bullying.  Second place went to Clemenger for “Whiskas Cat Hacks” and third was awarded to WiTH Collective for its work for Optus on the “Olympics for Small Business” campaign

SYDNEY - 2 August, 2016: Newly appointed IAB Australia CEO, Vijay Solanki, has launched a “First50” tour which will see him meet with 50 key organisations and stakeholders in the digital industry over the coming months. Solanki, who began in the CEO role on 26th July, has already met with a number of key stakeholders including IAB members and Council members and is scheduled to meet with IAB US and UK representatives in September.


“Game of Balls” wins IAB Creative Showcase’s Best of the Best

Sydney, 7th July 2016: An international panel of expert judges has named M&C Saatchi’s “Game of Balls” campaign for the Blue Balls Foundation as the winner of IAB’s Creative Showcase Best of the Best Award. As the best campaign of Creative Showcase Round 10, the campaign is automatically entered into this year’s prestigious IAB MIXX Awards which will be held in New York on 26 and 27 September.

28th June 2016: IAB Australia has signalled its intent to listen and evolve, announcing today that it has appointed Vijay Solanki as its new CEO. Solanki, who most recently drove the digital transformation program at Southern Cross Austereo as Chief Digital Officer, will commence work in August. The appointment follows a three month executive search process.

Australian Online Ad Expenditure continues to surge  with stronger growth than US and UK

SYDNEY, 26th May 2016: Australian online advertising has recorded another solid quarter, reaching $1,731m for the quarter ending March 2016, a 33.5 percent year on year increase.  The data, which comes from the latest IAB/PWC Online Advertising Expenditure Report, also shows that mobile advertising is now fast approaching 50 percent of the General Display advertising, while video advertising accounts for over 25 percent of General Display advertising.

VML takes first place in Creative Showcase for McDonald’s Loaded campaign
