Online advertising expenditure in Australia for the 12 months ended 30 June 2007 totalled $1,199.5 million. This is an increase of $421.5 million (or 54.2%) from the 12 months ended 30 June 2006.

All expenditure types recorded strong growth. General Advertising accounted for 28%, Classifieds Advertising accounted for 28% and Search & Directories Advertising accounted for 44% based on expenditure for the 12 months.

The highest spending Advertiser Industry category in General Advertising was Finance. Recruitment was the leading category for Classifieds Advertising.
